EARTH DAY Fair April 22, 2024 @ Sierra College

Hello dear NCC Community,

Next week is Earth Day at Sierra College in Grass Valley!

April 22nd

10:30-2pm

Bell Tower Quad

Parking will be free for everyone on this day!

Your student senate has been working hard to make this day meaningful for our campus and community, and the day promises to be sweet: student-centered and lively, small and intentional.  We’ll have about 20 tables around the Bell Tower quad(representing a mix of community and campus groups), a face painter (free to you!), a book swap, and entertainment of various kinds. Students will be encouraged to participate in activities to earn discounts on Coco’s ice cream bars— it should be fun.

Ghidotti students can mull around the display tables before and after their college classes because there are no Ghidotti high school classes on April 22nd. (An un-used snow day)

We will have a treasure hunt activity that families can complete too.

Here is the schedule for the day:

10:30-11:30

Justice for the Peace Band performs in front of the Bell Tower

11:30-12:00

Ecos Club leads planting activity in the Sierra College garden

12:15-12:45

Izzi Tooinsky juggling show

1:00-2:00

Sierra College Jazz Ensemble performs in front of the Bell Tower

As you can see– all of this will be better with students milling around and just being present.
