Each summer, Nevada County Superintendent of Schools, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Dignity Health and Sierra College sponsor a program to give students entering grades 9-12 an opportunity to contemplate a career in the health care field.
This free program allows 25 Nevada County high school students the opportunity to learn about a wide range of careers in the medical field providing direct exposure to health care professionals and observing them in their work environments.
This year, the Exploring Careers in Health Summer Institute, will be held on June 10 – 13, 2024.
Applications must be postmarked to NCSOS by April 30th. Applications can be downloaded at the bottom of the web page on the below link. Completed applications will be reviewed and participants will be notified via email.
